The link between using art and deisgn for improving patient outcomes and the well-being of staff is being increasingly acknowledged. There is now a mounting body of evidence to support the many different art projects and artistic interventions being run in hospitals and health care settings.

Promoting Arts in Aintree (PARTIA) is a new programme to bring the arts in all forms to Aintree.

The name itself has "art" in the centre and like the arts can be interpreted in different ways. You may read it as par-tia, parchia or part-ia. As with art appreciation no way is right or wrong, it is your view that counts.

PARTIA aims to raise the profile of "Arts in Health" within Aintree Hospitals whilst being informed of best practice.

Its aim is to build an Arts programme which:-

Enhances the patients experience of the Trust
Improves patients well-being and recovery
Improves the well-being of staff within the "improving working lives" framework
Is informed by evidence based research and best practice
Enables a variety of of funding to be accessed (e.g. from the Arts Council)
Is innovative and exciting
Involves the whole Trust Community
Raises the profile of Aintree Hospitals in the "Arts in Health" Community
