Reservists give up their spare time to serve in the Reserve Forces, balancing their civilian life with a military career to ensure that they would be ready to serve as part of the military should their country require them.
Pictured (L-R) with Steve Warburton, Chief Executive, are Aintree reservists Tracey Smith Straney, Laboratory Manager for Liverpool Clinical Laboratories, Di Haddock, Head of Organisational Health & Effectiveness, Amanda Douglas, healthcare assistant, and nurses Sarah Connor and Isobel Draper.
Tracey said: “We train at weekends, undertaking clinical and military training. This is great for learning new skills, enhancing team work and developing our leadership skills. We have always had great support from our colleagues to allow us to do this important work.”
